Gather requirements and provide ideas for designing the Self Service Reporting SharePoint BI site.
Explore and present possibilities for landing page, Report Gallery, setting up folders, listing the list of reports available, adding videos (training) and report descriptions.
Set up a tracking method to record who, when, what reports users accessed
Provide designs for overall site, ways to control different views based on roles and security and different tools to present data
Create access controls in SharePoint as a temporary solution until new roles and security groups are setup in the main database
5-7 years of overall business experience
Strong understanding and ability to write Transact SQL and MDX/DAX in order to query data.
Strong Experience of SharePoint features, designing web pages, and creating web parts. Passing parameters from a web parts to other web parts. Experience in Performance Point and Power View will be helpful
Good understanding of the SharePoint (with Reporting Services) back-end databases. Needed to determine SharePoint objects and/or reports usage.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
